Jellyfish Scare

Poor Matthew, it looks like he had to cut his Australian trip short:

Matthew is back in LA after shooting was suspended on Fool's Gold due to a dangerous species of jellyfish along the Queensland coast. We guess he'll have to resort to doing his shirtless surfing/stretching on the LA beaches instead. Luckily he has a surfing film up next so he'll have an extra excuse to take his shirt off in public. In the meantime he's busy taking back up with the LA party scene. He was out with another mystery woman at PARC Wednesday night. Now if we could only get him to shave that beard.

MM impersonation

You may have already seen this, but the other Matt (Damon) does a pretty good impersonation of MM on Letterman.

Shirtless Matt?

This writer gets it right about MM -

"...Also, McConaughey doesn't pretend to dislike being a sex symbol like so many hot actors do. In fact, he recently told Entertainment Weekly that directors often "gotta work to get me to put on shirts." I particularly love this quote from Adam Shankman, who directed him in The Wedding Planner, about cutting one of MM's shirtless scenes:

"I only cut it because it was a moment when he was supposed to be having a genuine conversation with the bride-to-be and it was a massive distraction. He came to the set in his robe, all oiled up, and he was glistening in the light."

But the main thing I like about Matthew McConaughey is that he always seems to be having fun. After all, isn't that the main perk of being rich and famous? Bongo on, dude."

Surfing

MM is in Australia, surfing and doing research for an upcoming role:

In a television interview, a shirtless McConaughey opened up his upcoming movie, Surfer Dude: “The next film I’m doing is a surf film. A lot of this is for leisure and pleasure but also looking around and keeping an eye open for what happens and what goes on in the tournaments.

“To see the balance that these guys have …knowing the water, what waves to get on and when to get on it.”

Matthew ready for kids?

We Are Marshall actor Matthew McConaughey, 37, might be getting the baby itch after playing a father in his recent movie and seeing his brother and many of his friends become parents.

He shares with OK! Magazine: "I love kids… All my friends have kids, and they say life opens up. It's not about you, it's about them. Your heels dig into the ground harder than they would as a single gypsy. You are responsible for the well-being of someone. Keep 'em safe and fed, lead them in the right direction."

A pec-tacular Matthew McConaughey was spotted moving back home to Los Angeles this past Friday after spending countless on the road biking and on the beach surfing.
